Watkins Glen State Park, is one of the most beautiful and beloved sites in the Finger Lakes and has been ranked the #3 State Park in the Nation by USA Today. This 1,200 square mile park is open all year round for a full range of seasonal outdoor adventures including miles of trails for hiking and biking and an outdoor swimming pool.

WaterfallsWaterfalls abound in the Finger Lakes Region and some of the top New York State waterfalls can be found in and around Watkins Glen! Don't miss the famous Gorge Trail where you can take in 19 waterfalls, ultimately leading to the iconic Rainbow Falls. Be sure to have your camera handy!
Experience the colors of Fall , or "Leaf Peeping" as it's come to be known, as the leaves turn in the Finger Lakes. This annual tradition puts the region's natural beauty on full display. It is not to be missed and there lots of ways to enjoy it.
By Car: The main routes around Seneca Lake are among the most scenic drives in the Finger Lakes. Take a drive along the western shore of Seneca Lake from Geneva to Watkins Glen. You'll get spectacular views between the lake on the left and trees, vineyards and rolling fields to your right.
On the Water: Take a sightseeing tour of Seneca Lake aboard a Captain Bill's boat cruise. Paddle the local waterways by kayak or canoe or other small craft. Guided kayaking tour groups are also available for less experienced paddlers.
On the Trails: Visit Watkins Glen State Park and hike along sculpted rock and paths that wind over and under some 19 awe-inspiring waterfalls. It's the most famous state park in the Finger Lakes and only one of the many in the area featuring dramatic landscapes, gorges and cascades.
At a Winery: Seneca Lake wineries are know for their distinctive vintages as well their lakeside views. Fall is the perfect time to sip and savor and take in some gorgeous scenery.
